Over 2 billion people globally face food insecurity due to poverty, conflict, and climate change, with the most vulnerable populations concentrated in Sub-Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia. These regions, where farming families are disproportionately affected, are especially vulnerable to crop failures and hunger. Seed Programs International addresses these challenges by focusing on women, children, and crisis recovery. Through partnerships, SPI supports communities in growing their own food, improving livelihoods, and building resilience against the factors that threaten their food security. Domestically, SPI enhances food literacy and promotes healthy eating habits through agricultural education in schools and community programs.
